The Proclamation: Following the completion of the Ka'bah, Allah ordered Ibrahim (AS) to announce the pilgrimage. The Response: It is believed that all souls, even those in their fathers' loins and mothers' wombs, heard the call, responding with "Labbayk Allahumma labbayk" (Here I am, O Allah, at Your command), which is echoed by pilgrims today.
